Staff button by Scoville, page 151, plate 15 of Albert’s book; UCV cuff button by Superior Quality, unlisted, possible re-strike; Confed. Naval button by Fermin & Sons, 153 Stand, London. Albert lists these as unauthenticated, page 363-364 but a check with the button maker shows they made buttons under this logo from 1875 to 1894. Probably made for Confederate veterans uniforms; Confed. Staff Officer button dug near Vicksburg. Cannot see button logo. Lots of corrosion and chip on rim.
