Plate 28, page 152 of Albert’s “Record of Am. Uniform & Hist. Buttons, Bicentennial Edition”. Unreported maker by Albert as he only lists TW & W of Paris; La. State seal, staff button by Terry & Juden Co., page 150-151, plate 14 of Albert’s bicentennial book; La. Staff button by Scoville, page 151, plate 15 of Albert’s book; UCV cuff button by Superior Quality, unlisted, possible re-strike; Confed. Naval button by Fermin & Sons, 153 Stand, London. Albert lists these as unauthenticated, page 363-364 but a check with the button maker shows they made buttons under this logo from 1875 to 1894. Probably made for Confederate veterans uniforms; Confed. Staff Officer button dug near Vicksburg. Cannot see button logo. Lots of corrosion and chip on rim. Page 357, plates 19 to 22 of Albert’s book; Block I Confed. infantry button, low convex, no back, dug.
